HIV/AIDS Research:

1996 - Principal Investigator: HIV Proteinase Saquinovir Protocol SV14604C. A randomized, multi-center, double-blind, Phase III, parallel study of zidovudine (ZDV) alone, versus ZDV + zalcitabine (ddC), versus ZDV + ddC + Saquinovir in previously untreated or minimally pretreated HIV-infected patients with CD4 counts from = 50 to = 350 cells/mm3.

1996- Principal Investigator: Protocol 807 Continuation Study of HIV-1 Immunogen Studies. An open-labeled continuation study of the effect of HIV-1 Immunogen in HIV-1 seropositive patients previously enrolled in IPL studies 103, 104, 201, 281 or IRC study 3G.

1997- Associate Investigator/Responsible Physician: Compassionate Use of Ambisome for the Treatment of Invasive Fungal Infections in Patients Intolerant to or with Disease Unresponsive to Standard Antifungal Therapy.

1998- Principal Investigator: Serostim Protocol 9037. A randomized, parallel group, double-blind, placebo-controlled, dose ranging, multi-center study of recombinant human growth hormone (Serostim) in the treatment of HIV-associated catabolism/wasting.
